How do I get my HDMI cable from PS3 to be heard in surround sound system?
I've been playing with my PS3 and listen to the RCA cables from my system surround sound. Now I have my HDMI cables, but I can not listen to the game of my surround sound system. Is there a way I have to reconfigure? Please help, Thank you.
The PS3 has an optical audio output, so you can get optical audio to your surround sound system. That gives a full surround sound system digital. Your surround sound system must have a digital audio input. It might be an optical port as your PS3, or it could be a port with an RCA coaxial. If optical just get an optical audio cable. If coaxial, get a fiber optic cable, an optical coaxial cable adapter, and coaxial cable. Optical audio cables also are called "toslink", so you know what you're looking at when you see the word.
