Surround Sound
How I can get surround sound on my tv network?
I'm thinking of buying a surround sound system .. I can connect directly to My HDMI port on the TV and watching a DVD will work, but what if I want surround sound on my television networks? My TV does not have an optical audio output that eliminates that option .. Any ideas?
First make sure your surround sound system has s / PDIF in which I have not seen an HDTV without a digital audio output, but if you have a TV (monitor more likely), so if you have a set-top box, connect the s / PDIF connection box with surround receiver directly.

Why I do not have the surround speakers?
I bought a home theater DVD surround sound surround and I can (of 5 speakers) when playing a DVD or listen to the built in AM / FM or play a CD, but when the audio signal from my HDTV new you can get the sound of the three front speakers. Nothing that has just the two rear speakers. I have my TV to a stereo system external and common around my home theater, but nothing. Is there perhaps something I'm missing. I'm new to surround sound. I know the speakers are connected and work, and work with built in hardware is only with the external device (my HDTV). If anyone has an idea if Please share. Thank you.
Consult your owner's manual. Only one should have to adjust the settings of your surround sound receiver for examination. Make sure all speaker connections are secure and low connections in multi-channel receiver terminals. * * * Remember not to give an "approval" rating for an answer.
