Why does my iMon remote have such a short range?
I bought the Antec Fusion Black Remote, a HTPC case that comes with a remote (RM100) and a LCD screen. In their website, SoundGraph assured that the remote's range is up to 10 meters, but I can't use the remote beyond ~1.5m.
I checked the hardware and it seems that there's nothing wrong with it. I then disassembled the computer and sent the case back to the importer, and got a new case. Same problem here.
Does anyone know why this happens and how can I resolve this problem?
1. Check where the remote receiver is on the box and check it has clear line of sight to the remote where ever you are, remove any protection plastic sometimes placed on theses sensors after manufacture
2. Check with new batteries in the remote, manufaturer ones are crap. Also check the plastic protection strips are removed and battery connections are secure.
3. Infra red remote signals can be weakened by lots of things including, halogen and flourescent lighting, sunlight, relfections from mirrors - check all of this to eliminate

all compatible, but a hiper psu is a bit crappy get a trusted guarnteed brand, like antec, thermaltake or corsair
