Problems connecting PS3 to Philips Home Cinema System LX-3000d?
I can not seem to get digital sound from my PS3 - I have it connected to the LX-3000D with an optical cable and change the settings of the PS3 to output optical cable, but the LX-3000D does not seem to recognize it - can anyone help please? Thank you very much
Maybe you should give it to the receiver as well. In the PS3 settings check all audio modes, automatically recognize the type of audio format. I hope help.

Connecting a PS3 to a Philips home theater?
The problem is that the PS3 system optical and coaxial digital home theater digital. I converter (like the one shown here: http://www.hdtvhookup.com/tooptococodi.html), but the sound is cut off from time to time this which makes the games blu-ray and see a bit annoying. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thank you
If you're lucky, the only questions taking are A) the control of the audio output format on the PS3, and B) controls the surround settings to Philips) Make sure the audio output of PS3 games and audio BD compatible with those of Philips. Consult the manual for PS3 Access to audio output settings of the PS3 and select 44.1 kHz Linear PCM 5.1 channel, 2 Chronicles + Only. Set Test your sound in the game now. If OK, go back to settings and add settings for 5.1 channel Dolby Digital. Check again. These forms are probably the best format to work with a receiver that is compatible with optical audio streaming. If necessary, you may need to put aside Dolby Digital also should go to the video settings menu to change the audio output format of the BD (TS). Select the output linear PCM B) Ensure the receiver Philips compatible with Dolby Digital surround. See Philips manual for details. The question could be an indication that it is time to Update your sound system quality surround sound.
