Do i Need to use 1.4 HDMI cables?
I have a Samsung 7000 model plasma hooked up to a Denon dht 59BA home theatre, and a Samsung 3d blue ray player. Do I need to use 1.4 hdmi cables or will "regular" hdmi cables produce the same picture/sound quality? Also, do upgraded speaker wire make enough of a difference to make a switch?
The 1.4 rating is for 3D only so for regular HD all you need is 1.3 cables most HDMI cables under 15 feet are going to work for you weather they are rated or not the only time you might need to get a better tested cable are for runs over 15 ft...some companies will test there cables for 3D and high speed hence the 1.4 rating, they really don't do anything new to their cables just test them, some Chinese cables don't even get that the manufacture in China just says they were tested to sell the cables for more money to the American company that is asking for the testing...if your worried take a look at Belden Cables from Blue jean Cable or Dayton Cables from Parts Express...Basicly there is no difference between 1.3 HDMI cables and 1.4 cables

Which is a better home theatre system?
Onkyo hts 3100/3200 or denon dht -390 and please suggest me if there is any other better home theatre system in the same budget ?
If I have to choose between onkyo & denon, I will choose denon. Denon avr-1910 is the 2009 winner of what hifi magazine for best a/v receiver & denon avr-2310 is the 2009 winner of what hifi magazine for best mid range a/v receiver. Although I like yamaha better but I have both.
